Minimal bowl handcarved soapstone different sizes

These soapstone bowls are made by artists and craftsmen in Kisii, Kenya. Use these adorable bowls as salt bowls or for small treasures.

 Colour: Notice that each piece is unique in colour and shape, white to cream white or slightly rose coloured. 

Material: Soapstone

Their workplaces are close to the quarries where the soapstone is mined. The different stages of production are: breaking the large stones, rough carving, detailed carving, sanding and polishing.
